Welcome to Piquette Flats, a historic building with automotive roots located in Detroit’s Milwaukee Junction featuring loft apartments located in an international city, in a neighborhood of professional institutions and cultural gems. With its access to public transportation and major expressways, it's time to call Piquette Flats your home.

Piquette Flats offers loft-style apartments in a vibrant bustling community. The 108,000 square foot building is a redevelopment of the former Studebaker Sales and Service Building and is adjacent to Ford Piquette Museum, where Henry Ford created the Model-T. A portion of the community is set aside as workforce housing intended to help middle-income workers secure quality housing in reasonable proximity to their place of employment.

Piquette Flats goes beyond offering quality living. These distinctive apartments, with their authentic industrial charm, provide a unique lifestyle in a neighborhood now thriving with artists, creators, musicians and entrepreneurs. Two blocks east of Woodward, Milwaukee Junction is an eclectic, off-the-beaten-path destination known for great food, drinks and an array of one-of-a-kind retail shops. It's also home to the world's only Techno Museum - Exhibit 3000, making it a cultural hub.

Attention to detail was paramount in preserving the historical features of this significant location of automotive history. Throughout the building you will see pieces of the original architecture and finishes utilized to highlight the cultural significance that this building played in the birth of the automotive industry. From the historically named common area spaces (such as Studebaker) to the restored windows and artwork of the building, we want our residents to feel that they are living in a part of history.

Piquette Flats is comprised of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment lofts, ranging from 380 to 723 square feet. Each floor plan features 12-13' exposed ceilings, industrial picture windows, vinyl wood plank flooring, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher and granite countertops.

Along with being part of a historic renovation, the pet-friendly community boasts a boutique lobby, fitness center, community lounge areas, laundry rooms on each floor with full-size washers and dryers, dog run, pet washing station, access controlled parking and package management station.
